2/3 up. powdered milk 1/3 cup sorghum molasses
1 ½ cup dry oats 1 ¾ cup very hot water
1 cup whole wheat flour 3 eggs, beaten
½ cup vegetable oil 2 pkg. active dry yeast
½ cup honey 6-7 cup all-purpose flour, as needed
In bowl, combine ingredients in the following order; milk, oats, whole wheat flour, salt, oil, honey, molasses, hot water, eggs and yeast. Stir, adding all-purpose flour as necessary. Turn dough over in greased bowl. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled. Punch dough down and form into two loaves. Place in well-greased loaf pans, cover and let rise until doubled. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F, bake for about 50 minutes. (After 15 minutes, you may want to cover bread with aluminum foil to prevent top from getting too dark.) Turn out on rack and cool. Make 2 loaves.
