- Mother Maria Amparo, the foundress of the Poor Clare Monastery in Cantalapiedra, Spain, (see July 6th), met Father Juan Arintero, O.P., in 1913, both of whose Causes for Beatification have been introduced. Together they brought the nuns in Cantalapiedra to heights of charity and sanctity. Father Arintero writes: “The place where [the beloved] rest at midday… is now the Tabor where
He sometimes appears to them transfigured, raising them up in lofty contemplation; now the Sacred Tabernacle, where at every hour devout
souls can visit Him, find Him, and receive Him, although hidden with the
veil of faith…”
