The Minister General - Father Bernardine - gave Mother Maddalena and Mother Constance the following beautiful blessing as he parted from them, never to see them again on this earth: The Lord guide your steps and grant you the strength necessary for the continuation and final accomplishment of the generous sacrifice that I have asked of you and that you have accepted. The spirit of our Father St. Francis and of our Holy Mother Clare rest upon you and make you worthy to become the Mothers of numerous Virgins consecrated to Christ: and the seraphic blessing, which I impart to you with my whole heart, descend upon you and remain with you forever.
