St. Clare ran away from home to join St. Francis  on this day in 1212.  It was the feast of Palm Sunday.  Poor Clares always celebrate this day as the beginning of the Order.  We renew our Vows today in a ceremony where each Sister wears the Crown of Thorns she received on the day of her Solemn Vows.
