On September 1, 1899, St. Charles de Foucauld wrote to his sister from the Nazareth Poor Clare monastery, where he was occupied with being the gardener and handyman for the nuns. In his letter, he wrote: “I am glad to know you are near to a church and the Blessed Sacrament. They are great graces, the Blessed Sacrament, the Mass, and Holy Communion. It is a grace to be at the feet of Our Lord and to receive Him. How blessed we are!”
