Sister Consolata Betrone died on this day in 1946. When she was thirteen years old, while making her thanksgiving after Holy Communion, she heard an inner Voice which asked, “Do you wish to be entirely Mine?” She did not fully understand all that was being asked, but she gave a “Yes, Jesus!” in reply. She was able to enter the Poor Clare Capuchin monastery in 1929. She wrote: “Jesus is truly at our disposal here among us Capuchin nuns, and one lives near His tabernacle in indescribable familiarity. This must please Jesus, for when we approach Him in our private prayers and devotions, He floods our being and lets us feel His divine presence in an especially intimate manner.” - Jesus Appeals to the World, page 23
