Saint Peter of Alcantara not only counselled the great Reformer of the Carmelites, St. Teresa of Avila, but frequently preached to Poor Clare nuns, offered Holy Mass, and  ministered to them in other ways.  He started a reform in the Poor Clare Order called the “Alcantarines,” although it only was in a few monasteries.
