SAINT PATRICK - Mother Maddalena was devoted to St. Patrick. She wrote a letter to a young nun in Omaha:
I am grateful for your kind wishes for my feast day, and more yet for your prayers. It is true our glorious St. Patrick was not a Franciscan; then let it be you who will be the first Franciscan saint by the name of Patricia, or Patrick. You have all the opportunities to be one; all that is needed on your part is a good will to accept all of them and to make good use of them.  — I think it is good tidings that two of your good companions leave the novitiate (to be professed); that means, I suppose, that room is to be left for others who are on the way to fill up their places; is it not so? … May God bless you, dear Sister. Pray now and then for me too.
