Father Kleber, the biographer of Mother Maddalena, said:
One of the Sisters who lived with Mother Maddalena, speaking of the readiness and ease with which the memory of God flowed into the conversation of the Servant of God, said: It was really natural; it was not like a sermon.
Her constant calmness amid keen and continued difficulties that might have discouraged even a naturally stout heart, is proof that she was deeply rooted in God. She endeavored to imbue the Sisters with this same spirit. She would exhort the Sisters, ‘Have confidence in God, He is so good.’
