St. Charles of Sezze had a sister who was a Poor Clare in their native city of Sezze, Italy. Her name in religion was Sister Mary Frances of Jesus. He wrote: “On the [eighth] of August, when our holy Mother Church celebrates the feast of the glorious Patriarch St. Dominic, as the Body of our Lord remained invisible in the Sacred Host on the altar after the consecration of the Mass, surrounded by a multitude of angels, among other things for which I pray was the virtue of purity… I sensed our Lord said what he had said to St. Paul, ‘My grace is sufficient for thee.’”
