Our American foundress, Mother Mary Maddalena, was devoted to this feastday. It is written of her: In the following statement another phase of Mother Maddalena’s attitude towards the Holy Eucharist is brought out: I recall that she made one hundred visits on the day of the Portiuncula and on All Soul’s Day. On these days and also on first class feast days manual work was dispensed with for the devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. She had the Blessed Sacrament exposed on these big days. – Bentivoglio of the Bentivoglio, p. 206
