Let us go frequently to the cave of Bethlehem to contemplate Jesus: there we will be instructed on our duties, there we will learn to love this God Who is all love for us, there we will learn to imitate Jesus. Oh! what salutary lessons in humility... A God, Wisdom himself, Who sustains the entire universe, humbles himself like a worm of the earth,  a God to Whom the heavens and the earth belong is born in a poor stable, placed in a manger, and wrapped in swaddling clothes: this great God of love, trembling from the cold! What poverty! What humility!
