St. Thomas Moore had a childhood friend, Joyeuce Leigh, who became a Poor Clare near London, in a monastery known as the Minories.  He dedicated to her his first book.  He inscribed it to “his right entirely beloved sister in Christ,” … “I have sent you a present as may bear witness of my tender love and zeal to the happy continuance and gracious increase of virtue in your soul.”
