The return of the Bentivoglio sisters to their monastery.
This entry is taken from the Annals of the Omaha Poor Clares, given as it was written. Mother Maddalena was never very adept in the English language:
September 26th in the morning, 10 o'clock, V. Rev. Father Boniface & Schaffel with a carriage they came to take us, after having again a small investigation, we left the Mercy Convent bidding Good bye to the Rev. Mother Peter, Superior, Mother Josephine and all the Sisters. and very happy we went in the carriage with Rev. Fathers Boniface and Schaffel. We arrived at the Convent at dear Eden Hill at 11 o'clock a.m. The Sisters were at the door of the Enclosure, ringed the bell, Fr. Boniface blessed us all and in procession we went in the choir chanting the Magnificat, then Rev. Boniface gave us an instruction how we ow to the Blessed Virgin of Mercy, the 24, which feast is for the Church and the 25 is kept by us Franciscans, the great grace we received & that we have written how we have to honor our dear Mother, and never forget that day.
