Permission was given on this date in 1412, for the erection of a Poor Clare convent in Auxonne “for the honor of God and of His divine service, a monastery of the Franciscan nuns of the Order of St. Clare; and that our most dear and most beloved consort the duchess, and our heirs and successors shall participate in the Masses, prayers, intercessions, and other works of charity which shall take place in the said monastery.’ (signed) Jean sans Peur, of Burgandy
