This is a special day for us, since on this day the Interdict was lifted on the Omaha monastery when Mother Maddalena was falsely accused in 1888. The Blessed Sacrament was returned on this day, although the charges were not cleared until September 24th. Mother Maddalena wrote: Happy were we for having Mass every day. It pleased our sweet Jesus to give other crosses, which is a sign of predilection. In this way He gave us the grace to take all that happened; this, no doubt, was the secret of our happiness in the midst of the most excruciating sorrows of our souls. On this day, in thanksgiving, our Community solemnly sings the Te Deum, in gratitude for the gift of the Blessed Sacrament in our midst.
