Mother Maddalena and Mother Constance spent a few days in the Poor Clare monastery in Marseilles. They learned much about Poor Clare observances in that ancient monastery, founded before the death of St. Clare. They left that monastery on September 11th. She wrote:
Let us throw and plunge ourselves into the Sacred Heart of Jesus. What a peace our soul will enjoy there, abandoned to Divine Providence! Be convinced that we are always happy. In loving Our Lord, we must not entertain any anxiety. Everybody is telling us that we shall suffer. Poor us! We shall sow, and others will gather the fruits; foundations are always sorrowful. But let us leave all in our Lord’s care. We are His Children, the pupils of His eyes; hence let us take care not to grieve them, and then forward in Faith and courage.
