From the writings of Sister Mary Agnes, the last novice to be invested by Mother Maddalena: On the feast of our Holy Mother St. Clare just before she died, we all went to Reverend Mother’s cell for the blessing, This was her last exhortation to all the community. She said, "My dear children love one another, BEAR with one another... O my dear Children, be good Poor Clares. Love one another, be faithful to your Holy Rule and the Constitutions. Have charity, bear with one another. God bless each and every one of you."
