In a letter to her sister, Matilda, Mother Maddalena wrote on March 22, 1879: What a pleasure for us to know that you are consecrated to God! What a joy for our souls to do everything for God alone.’ Jesus our Spouse does not desire else from us than pure love and the fulfillment of our promises: then He Himself, I know, will be our recompense. How small is what we suffer here below when we compare it to the eternal recompense. May this, with the love Jesus has for us, give us courage.
