Perhaps the bishops are afraid that the Poor Clares would be a burden to the diocese. On the contrary, they will find that with time the Poor Clares will be a help to the diocese, for the spiritual welfare and at times also for the temporal. It is fifteen years that the Poor Clares are in Omaha; up to this hour the diocese has not contributed a cent. Every day the miracle of our existence renews itself; unknown to the world and its followers, Divine Providence assists us, the goodness of God for us is unbounded.
