Continuation of farewell letter of Mother Maddalena to her family:
In proportion to the preciousness of the soul let us do our best always to avoid what is evil, which could separate us eternally; on the other hand, let us take care to do all good, that is capable of rendering us great and blessed in heaven.
Let us often call to mind the maxims that have so much helped those who, frail and mortal like us, have become heroes of sanctity with them: ‘Short the suffering, eternal the joy;’ — ‘It seems to me that it is worth the pain of renouncing all in order to gain all;’ — ‘Who loves God, possesses God, and who has God, has all.’ So, dear brothers and sisters, do not worry about our future. We are entrusted to Divine Providence. Oh, what happiness! We will always pray for you all, and we ask that you do not forget us at the Holy Virgin’s feet. In her motherly arms you will always find Your most affectionate sisters, Sister M. Maddalena and Sister. M. Constance. (See also September 26th and 28th )
