A cure attributed to Mother Maddalena was done to a young man studying for the priesthood. He had badly injured a finger playing baseball, and it had turned gangrenous. After applying a relic of Mother Maddalena and invoking her intercession, the finger (miraculously) healed. He testified:
As for myself, I firmly believe that God worked a miracle on me through the intercession of the Reverend Mother Maria Maddalena, and I have devoted my life to His work since then, for as soon as I was discharged from the hospital, I took up my studies again for the priesthood and was ordained priest on June 10, 1916.
