- Father Juan Arintero, O.P., was a prime force reintroducing many of the mystics to the Catholic faithful. He worked with Mother Amparo of the Sacred Heart of Cantalapiedra, Spain, who revitalized the Poor Clare life in that country. Both of their Causes for Beatification have been started in Rome. He writes: “The palm tree, the symbol of victory, recalls the triumph won by Christ on the cross. From this blessed tree reddened with the Divine Blood… are suspended the fruits of the sacred Passion, especially that most precious fruit of the Eucharist whereby the soul becomes united with, and conformed to the suffering Christ, Who is the ‘true vine.’”
