-   Sister Mary Clare of Jesus Crucified, who lived with Mother Maddalena in the Omaha monastery, wrote:
 “Mother Maddalena also had a special devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. She cultivated a strong devotion to the Blessed Sacrament by spending much time in meditation and adoration. The Servant of God always loved to have the altar on which the Blessed sacrament was reserved, beautifully adorned…She had great devotion to the mystery of the Real Presence, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Sacred Passion of Our Lord, the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin, the Annunciation, and the Divine Maternity.  One the Feasts of these and other mysteries she practiced special devotions and always had them celebrated by the community.”
