.   Our Community often prays for our priests. One saintly Poor Clare, who lived in the 1700’s, was devoted to the priesthood of the Child Jesus. 
“O sweet, dear Child Jesus, I believe you, I adore you, I love as my high priest, as by your example you have taught the priests of your Church the observance of their obligations, namely to offer prayers and sacrifices to the Most High without ceasing, to obtain pardon for the sins of souls, and to be like  arks of knowledge  about the divine Law so as to guard it, to  communicate and explain it to the people at the appropriate  times. And therefore, by means of the priests, your great Father manifests his divine sayings, precepts and counsels to creatures. in brief, all that is necessary and useful for holy living; and so every priest is a complex of doctrine, truth and holiness.”
