Sister Victoria, who participated in the second attempt to establish the Poor Clares in the United States, arrived here on October 21, 1839.  The foundation failed, even as they tried to support themselves teaching school.   She eventually founded a community in Baddesley Clinton, England, where she died a saintly death on October 30, 1865.
