American foundress, Mother Mary Maddalena Bentivoglio, recalled[SLPC1] her devotion in chapel: She visited the Blessed Sacrament every few minutes of her spare time. These visits were made at various hours of the day. I never saw her sitting down during these visits. She was so recollected that she did not know that other Sisters visited the chapel. She also told the Sisters to visit the Blessed Sacrament at any spare moment that they might have. Another Sister said: She seemed to be intensely united to God all the time she was in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
